Note
In his father-in-law's will (dated 1662), Edward is said to be living in Curdridge. His date of birth (ca 1625) is estimated from the date of his wife's baptism (1629). It is possible that Edward's father might also be called Edward: in the 1665 Hearth Tax, there are two households of Barfoots living in Curdridge tithing, and the heads of both houses were called Edward. This other Edward may be the same Edward who married an Ann Smith at Bishop's Waltham in 1613. I have been unable to find any children of this marriage.
