Note
I'm fairly certain that he was the son of William of Bishopstoke. There is however another baptism in Oct 1785 in South Stoneham, the son of William of Bishopstoke's brother James, Junior. I think that he is William's son because the 1851 census makes him 66 and says born in Bishopstoke, the son of James, Junior would only have been 65, and was baptised in South Stoneham.
